Amami orchids are known for their robust nature but here is a case of that to the extreme.
The plant is Neof. Ryouga, received July 2018 from Barampung with shipping damage from seasonal heat or improperly temperature regulated airline storage bin cold.
Here are pictures of it now with 5 new leaves since receipt 1 1/2 years later and what it was like then after surgery to remove the damage.

Rooted in South Florida....
First blooming since its shipment damage two years ago. (The spike at the time of shipping aborted.) Also its first picture since its last posted in this thread, now showing a new leaf starting.

The variegation on this individual is the quality that I most admire. Not all members of this variety are as striking in my opinion. Of course I admire its strength also. It's one of those plants that really strike a chord. It helps balance out some of the others that don't pay the rent.
