Neo in bloom
I was so worried the healthy plant I bought last winter was going downhill but then it decided to take the winter and put out new roots..then boom within a month, spikes grew and gave me this. Smells GREAT in the mornings and evenings.
I never knew how to tell the difference between neo spikes and new growths..so if anyone is interested I decided to take some pictures of the developing spikes, in case you're wondering what they look like...sadly I didn't capture them until they were quite obviously spikes, so I don't know how useful it will be.

Beautiful blooms! (And really nice photo - the light give the picture nice drama)
Those photos on Flickr are yours? I pointed Gwen at them when she had the question: Spike or root!!! They helped me...

Thanks for the lovely comments Wish I could bottle that scent up and send it off to all of you digitally.
Shakkai - yeah I took those pics - feel free to refer away! I still have two or three little growth things which I'm not sure whether are spikes or new fans...they're just sitting there so I guess we'll see when spring decides to come.

Smells like coconut during the day and more jasminey at night ^^
My favorite part of these are the spurs actually - they are so graceful! I highly recommend this plant - and if you need an excuse to get one, I think there's some sort of ploy brewing to get a neo project going
