once the plant has better roots and better leaves I will just take off the pot on top It was only because the plant looked very very bad at the time I moved it in S/H, and anted to provide higher humidity

thanks guys - you are feeding me good thoughts on how to deal with the situation. also, i read today that aerangis doesnt like to be disturbed and can be slow to recover. i guess i cant have the gardens of babylon in a NY apartment in a day. i gotta work for it and be patient. i love this vandaceous vegetable (thanks Tindo for weaning the little guy). keep the culture suggestions comming orchid board!!!

Wow that's really nice and healthy! I'm amazed how you can keep that luteo-alba covered, it would rot to death for me...

Ithink the trick is that I have quite low air humidity, then I do not water as frequent as normally suggested for S/H, I do it only when the reservoir is getting empty! Maybe thi smakes the difference....
