Angraecum Lemforde white beauty completely rootles

Hello everyone,
This is my first post on this forum and i am not sure if this particular subject has been discussed already. As per title i have received an angreacum from german seller without roots.... Well it had roots but they were all dried up and dead. I know that angreacum is famous for hateing its roots being disturbed. Could anyone please give me any tips on how i can stimulate this plant into growing roots? I have already potted it in a clay pot with lava rock on the bottom (plant sits on top of it) and with a bit of sphagnum moss around it. I keep the humidity high, and warm temperatures with dappled sunlight. But plant just seem to decline and is getting more and more dehydrated. Any ideas would be most welcome

Well, I don't have Lemforde White Beauty but I have Angcm. leonis, which had lost almost entire roots due to fungal attack.... I had put it on a ball of sphagnum moss for a year and half, careful to not to dry out completely and gave it quarterly diluted dose of non-systemic fungicide or diluted peroxide to keep it from rotting. During that time my leonis lost couple of leaves and I thought it was about to die. But it sent out new roots and now growing happily mounted on a piece of cork...though it would take couple of years to be back to blooming health! I wish you a good luck. Just keep it moist but beware of any fungal infection.

Another way to do get root growth is to soak the root area in kelp solution for about an hour, then stake the Angraecum just above the medium (so that it nearly touches it). Water once a week with water that has the kept solution added. Do not move the orchid until the roots are a few inches and keep the orchid warm, to promote root-growth. This was the method I used a few years ago when I unpotted a sesquipedale and found no living roots and, more recently, a magdalenae. In both circumstances, I did not lose any leaves on the orchids.

I also used the moss method for a leonis but have not tried it on any of the thick-rooted Angraecums.
