Mounting aerangis in granite?

I have a young plant: aerangis luteoalba var. rhodosticta, I would like to mount it in a piece of granite that will sit at the vase in a shallow plate of water. The stone will also house some moss. It will be in a greenhouse that maintains above 60% humidity.
My question is will it work or will it not have enough moisture from the stone?

Are you asking whether you will need to water the plant, or whether the water will wick up the granite and keep the roots moist? I think you will need to water the plant.

I plan to water the plant as I do my vandas, daily in warm weather, less in winter and cloudy.
I am asking if the granite will provide enough moisture and wether the roots will afix to the granite. The stone surface has some roughness.

The moisture will come from your watering. The rock will not hold much, if any, water, and will evaporate to dryness at about the same speed as its surroundings. Most granite does not have a lot of small holes between grains and crystals. This is one of the reasons granite sculptures last so long.

I don't know about root adherence. It depends on the roughness of the surface, but also the temperature.
