Default Aeranthes hsying ramosa and more

Here is Aeranthes hsying ramosa. I bought this guy a few months ago from cal-orchids. It is a sequential bloomer that can bloom for quite a long similar to Psychopsis orchids. This is a photo of the first flower:

No fragrance detected on this one, except a few times at around nine o'clock. It smelled like baked goods, not something that should be on a flower! A better way to describe it was like butterscotch although it if you want a fragrant Angraecoid this might not be the one for you. The bloom lasted for about 2 weeks and fell off. Here is the second flower it pushed out:

I used this flower to pollinate a local grower's Angraecum lemforde 'white beauty'. The flower on the aeranthes fell off along with the reproductive parts but it seems that the Angraecum is making a pod! This hybrid is very powerfully fragrant day and night. It completely fills a large room. Here is the flower:

As you can see, next to my hand it is a very good sized flower. In other news, my Jumellea comorensis is growing its bud very quickly. It has four more spikes on the plant.
