Angraecum cultriforme
This miniature little angraecum (flowers only 3 cm across) from Africa is found in riverine thickets and evergreen montane forests of Zimbabwe.
One surprising feature of this miniature size angraecum, the flowers of cultriforme omits quite a strong, pungent scent at night, to attract its night time pollinator, probably a moths for some form.
Species is quite widely distributed from Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi down to South Africa but is limited to a specific environment within it’s distribution area.

I love the perfectly straight spur, it's super charming. And the petals are so pointy and nice. Angraecums get me every time <3

Thanks! I went to read more about it and stumbled on this, which I hadn't found before:

Really sweet, like the color and the way it holds it tiny flowers. I have been looking at the Angraecum Encyclopedia site a lot lately. Have determined that the one I have is the smaller of the two A. leonis. It has not bloomed in a long time but has stayed alive dispute my poor care. Am now trying to do much better. I am also fond of angraecums, too bad many are so big.

Cultriforme quite a challenge to keep alive for long periods, after a few years it usually dies away. I suspect it is water quality that eventually weakens the plant before it succumbs.
