Default Angraecum didieri spike question

Hi, I have a didieri that looks like it has started a spike, its seems to be growing incredibly slow. How long does it take for a spike to go from start to flower? So far it is about 4 weeks since I first noticed it. Thanks

I'm not convinced that's a flower spike. Mine has done this three times and each time it's been a new green growth. Flower spikes are not sharp like that - they appear round, almost like fat roots.

Actually it looked like a root to me. But I really don't know. But on another orchid of mine (Vandaceous as well), I thought I was going to get two spikes which turned out to be two new growths, keikis.

I don't think this is a root because of the shape. I have one of these guys and have gotten used to the shapes. Roots seem to be more of a swelling bump between leaves, not so sharp. The new growths seem just like this.

I thought that it might be a root but at the same time there was a new root lower that had a bright green tip and was perfectly round. This one is more tapered end and more of a darker green tip.

I am totally convinced it's a new growth. If I'm wrong shoot me I've seen this scenario three times already on mine, so I think I'm correct.

OK So Its not a spike or a root, it's a new growth of leaves?

That's my bet (seen it three times so far on mine.) And that's a good thing, by the way. More growths leads to more flowers one day

I agree more is better, The info. I got on this is they bloom April to June! So I thought it might be a spike. Are the spikes smaller in diameter

Now that looks like a growth or spike. I haven't seen either in my plant so I can't tell the difference yet, will have to take Ross' word for it. How are you growing this one Dave?
