I recently purchased a few orchids on Ebay from a seller I had used a few times before and when I received the plants, in amongst them was the one pictured below, labeled "wild angraecum".
I wrote the seller asking about the plant and, because of a language barrier - he is out of Puerto Rico, all the more I could get was it was a "gift" to me (free), that it is from Madagascar, it's a species orchid (not a hybrid) and it has white flowers. ALthough I asked about how to care for it, I got no help there.
For scale, the piece in the picture is about 7" long with the leaves being about 1" long. The roots almost look aerial to me, alot like the vanda terete I have.
I stuck it on the bark raft but I have no idea what is best for it and, with a quick internet search, there appears to be about zillion varieties of angraecum out there. I have an Angraecum Longiscott 'H&R' but this plant doesn't appear to me to be at all like that one.
Any thoughts on more accurately what it is and/or a point in the right direction as to how to care for it would be much appreciated!
