Aerth. grandiflora
Not sure if this is fully opened or not, but here it is anyway. I cannot take any credit as I've only had it a few days and it arrived in bud. I am surpirsed though that after the trip in the post, change of climate and location that it didn't blast. I'm probably pushing it to the max re my light levels, so I'll have to keep close tabs on it.....enjoy....

It's fantastic. Not often seen (or grown?), which is a shame. Do the blooms have any scent?

Smells like hokey pokey ice cream or butter scotch. Night time only.

Love this one! It's been on my list for sometime.
And you peeked my interest when you described the scent so I Googled hokey pokey ice cream, which then led me to Google honey comb toffee, so this morning I've already learned a thing or two.:-)

Now blooming for the 2nd time, 4 spikes in total with at least 2 spikes going to be double blooms.
The 1st spike to bloom is significantly larger than the 1st flowers from some time ago, also the shape is much better with the exception of the lower petals which resemble someone busting to go to the loo!
Anyway, enjoy.
