Aerangis luteoalba v. rhodosticta

Well, it's not in bloom yet so it is more like orchid in bud. lol

This was a gift about a month ago, and the plant already had three spike, but nothing on the spikes.
Tiny little swellings sprouted all of sudden just recently and then now I can see fully formed buds with relatively long spur.

I want one. I should be able to grow this plant but I have had three and after blooming each died in a few months.

I am guessing it will be absolutely beautiful when it is in bloom. I am looking forward to those pictures!

I saw a picture of an AM award plant of this cross with two super long spikes, each with many many flowers! It was quite something.

I will post pictures when these open. I think it won't take very long now.

This one is not in that great conditions, either.
When I got it, it came with three or four leaves missing.
I have no idea what happened. maybe accidental damage, or maybe rot, speaking of which, my super healthy little (even smaller than this one) Aerangis haylodes (sp??) with three spikes has just lost two leaves to a sudden rot. oh, well...

Mine bloomed in late summer, too. It seems to be resting now so I have slightly cut back on watering.

I don't think these have definite bloom season.
I saw one in bloom late summer as well.
but then I saw a few in bloom at a show in January! lol

Also, my other Aerangis, Aerangis hayloides (not sure about spelling) is written as summer bloomer on certain vendor's website, but mine always flowered in winter. I also saw lots of these in bloom at the same show in January.

Good to know. Thanks! My hyaloides is in spike. So it is a winter bloomer.

A few flowers on one of the spikes began to open yesterday, and I am very happy with them!
