Yes, Dave, I have this hanging on the side of my kitchen cabinet, over the sink. It's in a south-facing window, but that part of the house is shielded by the detached garage, and the window only gets bright indirect light most of the day.
I water only when the sphagnum pad gets crispy dry, by running the mount and all aerial roots under the tap (lukewarm water) until the sphagnum is soft and the roots are green. I have good-quality city water.
Temperatures in my house range from a high of around 95 in the height of summer afternoons (unless I cave and turn on the AC), to a low of 59 at night in winter. I keep my house pretty cold in winter because I'm a cheapskate.
Non-ideal conditions are probably why it took more than five years to bloom...
