Hi Paul, I have grown this Pelantanthera insectifera for a few years in my warm tank. It receives the highest light in tank (2 fluorescent tubes, one blue and one red). It likes bright light in tank (2-3 inches below tubes), mounted and spray daily (dry by night), 80% humidity, and is fed every 2nd watering with fish emulsion and kelp. It flowers in spring. Key here is bright light and high humidity... Hope this helps

Found some pics of the blooms from this summer ...



The flowers look more saturated in pink due to the red spectrum fluorescent... Flowers lasts about 10-14 days...

For what it's worth, I bought this on a cork mount fall 2014. The roots are all around and through the cork. I put it in my humid sunroom where it gets no direct sun but bright shade. I spray it with rainwater/dilute fertilizer twice daily, morning and night. Each growth has made a new leaf and is starting another. I think it needs bright shade, warm temperatures and lots of humidity. It isn't a fast grower for me.

Hi, a belated inquiry on this one how does it cope with the cooler temperatures when winter comes around. Does it need to be kept at a specific minimum to avoid leaf loss?
