Tridactyle bicaudata
Another African species, Tridactyle bicaudata, I've had quite a bit of success with this species, grows well in cultivation and free flowering. The libellum is 3 lobed with the side lobes fringed, hence the name Tridactyle.
Great plants to grow and can make great specimens plants with multipule inflorescences.

I live here in Africa, I collect "rescue" orchids from bush / woodland that has been cut to make way for agricultual land, sadly enviromental distruction is a huge problem here in Africa. Sorry, I don't know of any retailers in the states who specialise in African orchid species. Buying species is now becoming very difficult but don't stop trying, some are very special and well worth the effort.

One of the few orchids you can also smell while it doesn't flower, stronger when it is in bright sunshine. It then has the same scent as the flowers and for some people the scent resembles a type of biscuit.

That is fabulous--it looks like little flying stars! I would so love to buy that if I ever saw one.

A couple of better quality photos for you to see and to wet your appetite.
Not sure exactly where one would file this species commercial unless you hoped onto a plane and headed to Africa. Enjoy.
