I was told these would do well potted. Is that true? I'm not having the best luck with mounted plants... I'd love to try this one!

Yes, I do grow it potted in small pot, I am treating it as small Phalaenopsis, pretty much, small bark chips, it seems to like the conditions, amount of the light and small pot. |

I tried to grow this one mounted but found I just could not keep it sufficiently moist. So also grow mine potted. I have mine in a clay pot and small bark. They also like good air movement. So my little clay pot is hanging. |

Just a standard clay pot, not an orchid pot, right?
It sounds like you are growing it similar to how I grow my cattleya. |

They look like delicate flowers with crystalline petals that shimmer in the light....it has a classic form of beauty. Eight months is a long wait but its all worth it.

Yes, just a small clay pot. The pot is about 3 inches in diameter. Sometimes I enlarge the bottom hole for better drainage, but not always. Catt light will be too much for the citrata. It likes to be shady. |
