Angraecum didieri dying?

I want to thank all of you for letting me know that I'm not the only person to have ever done battle with a didieri. I suppose it is easy if you happen to have stumbled on its perfect environment, and it's a comfort to know that it has a strong will to survive.
I took mine out of the pot it was in and put it in a net basket one size larger, with mostly rock bits and a little moss. There are two bits of root near the top that were nice and green yesterday, so that's good. I moved it up to a brighter spot and just misted the potting mix. I don't know if the orchid will survive, but I'm giving it my best shot. If I am successful, photos will follow!

I don't have hardly any experience with this plant but I'll share what I have. I bought mine mounted in September. I removed it from its mount (it wasn't really attached) and put it in leca because I grow in s/h and transition my plants from traditional culture in LECA to s/h as they grow. But there are times of year when I don't get around to watering every weekend and this is one of them. So my little angreacum on the windowsill has ended up being a bit dry. While the Brassavola nodosum I got at the same time has dropped 3/4 to 4/5 of its leaves in these conditions, the A. Didieri has started two new fans. That's my dumb luck experience with what seems to be making my A. didieri happy.
