Default Jumellea walleri

The name was recently revised/changed = with the recent work by Isabel La Croix, Mystacidium walleri the basionym for Jumellea walleri was found to precede Angraecum filicornoides the basionym for Kumellea filicornoides therefore Jumellea walleri takes precedence.
So, if you own a Jumellea filicornoides you already own this one.
It’s one of the two Jumellea: one from the African continent and the other ones are found in Madagascar.
This plant eventually will grow into large clumps as I have seen specimens, but like many of the Jumellea, they don’t have to get to be very large to begin blooming. These grow equally well on plaques and in pots in intermediate condition with lots of humidity and shady bright light…. the flower is fragrant (smells like violets)
Long single flowered inflorescence that flowers from summer to early fall….glistening…. shimmering white petals but fades to an apricot color as it withers ….
I positioned this in the south facing window in winter and in summer it is outside in the fire escape….weekly weakly Algoflash fertilizer alternated with seaweed mix….this is potted in medium bark, charcoal, lava rock and hydroton
