Agrcm. Tomorrow Star
About a year ago I got orchid, this year no flowers, the vendor told me is just like a catt. potting mix is lava rocks, charcoal and leca, light is good and is in a net basket, is not looking good, what can I do?

Hi Norma, is it Angcm. Tomorrow Star? If yes, I read on other board some other grower was struggling with this one, did nothing for him for 2 years and than he switched to cypress mulch and it took off. Also, if it is Angcm., than it is vandacious, not cattleya (I could not find anything under Agrcm???) Therefor it should have care simmiral to your vandas, and strong light above 2000 F.C. This may help little?

I think the vendor meant to grow it like a Catt, not that it IS a Catt ...

As i know, a cross called Angraecum Crestwood 'Tomorrow Star' is an easy plant to grow. Here most people grow their plants like vandas, but they grows well in pot with coarse medium.
The cross dislikes low temperature. They stop growing when it gets too cold, too dry or without regular fertilization.

Also in general angraecums don't like being repotted often.

Thanks. WhiteRabbit: that's what he meant,PHELI:I think the vendor is from Taiwan, but just today I discovered a new spike. love it. The leaves have some type of white stain, is not scale, I use the fungicides, I will take a picture later.
