The most interesting and beautiful shot was the last one, which shows the cascading spikes and blooms from a mounted planting. A great visual and very dramatic.

thank you! I wasn't able to get a photo of the whole thing that I was very happy with - just lost most of the definition of the blooms - but I did want to include one, because it does look quite nice - hopefully between the better photos of the blooms, and then the one of the whole plant, everyone gets the idea

Gorgeous cascading flowers....they are fragrant at night....what can you tell us about the scent?

the spike came after you received the plant, so you must take all the credit for its blooming into a magnificent deisplay(its a special gift to make an orchid bloom= its never an accident)....others might have killed the plant a couple of days in their home....
I lost my citrata from when I gave a party in my apartment before xmas and one of my 30 guests must have absconded with seven of my minis; and I know a couple of kleptos among them....its so tacky because they really dont know how to care for orchids; its just the mere thrill I guess....

Really beautiful!!!! I think you definitely deserve the credit! Mine certainly didn't like last summer's heatwave and went downhill fast. Not knowing if this is a new weather trend, I think I will just admire these from afar and stick with my aerangis ellisii.

Sorry, Bud, to hear some of your orchids were stolen. Hope you were able to replace them all. That is just terrible!

Aw - thanks I haven't detected a fragrance It did take a few days before I realized I should probably check it at night, but even then - nada I'll keep checking tho ...

Dang that's brutal someone stole your plants Especially someone that was invited into your home! I have some orchids out front of my house (gets good morning light there) - and worry, especially when the Cyms are blooming, someone might steal them - nothing valuable, but just the "wow factor" of bigger Cyms with multiple spikes - and then figuring if someone stole them, they'd likely just trash them after they finished blooming So far, hasn't happened *knocks wood*.

Aw - thanks Sorry your's didn't fare well IOSPE indicates these as cool to hot growing, but I don't know how accurate that may be (Andy's has them as cool to warm growing) - mine's been inside, no A/C, but still cooler inside than out during heat spells - usually maxes out mid, sometimes upper 80s, and then with the climate here, always much cooler at night, so never hot 24/7 ...

I will say the "cool to warm" on the tag is why I grabbed this when I saw it - seems most Aerangis really don't like to be cool at all, and as such, might not be too happy with me (heat is set pretty low in winter, especially at night)

Stunning plant and spikes! Look forward to seeing how you do with it and have you detected a scent yet?

Really nice! I'm a bit envious. I tried mounting mine and it went into a decline big time. Then I read that citrata really doesn't like being mounted, but yours proves that isn't always true! Anyway, I potted mine up and it is much happier, but I sacrificed the spike, to give it a better chance.

Nice job!
