no no!
I think your right.... it's not something I ever really noticed but thinking back I am sure alot more of the Windows face in the opposite direction of mine.
I was always severely bothered by how little natural light was in others people's house. But never really realised that was my problem.

well I have been to Canada only twice once in Toronto and Montreal and the second time was in Edmonton....but I have observed that apartment complexes can have windows in different directions: if your unit faces East then you have that corner of the building....if you got the South facing unit then you get a window facing there...

Oh did they live in an apartment?
I must've missed that...
I've also never lived in one of those either lol....
I also can't see anyone's location so my responses can be a bit biased...

I'm sure there are too...
Now that I've come to this realisation I can actively search for it in my next house.
You guys all know each other's names!

And thank you for posting that detailed culture info... I've been wanting this plant for a while now.

This is a compact plant that has beautiful fragrant flowers, it is easy to grow if you got the culture down pat....I gave away my 6 yr old Amesiella to my Mom, after looking at Monika's plant; I hope to get one soon.

Beautiful! As Bud said earlier, I think the key to not having your buds blast is the VERY high humidity this guy wants.

Actually all our windows face south except three which face west.

Hi Ordphien
How i do it? it is not easy-but you have to deal with what Life throws your way.I too would LOVE to live in a House with South and West facing Windows-on an Acre-with a Greenhouse and a fish Pond and--etc etc.But as Life is -it is not happening-for me-.Unless i win big in the Lotto
And when we moved in here-we could call ourself Lucky-i dont want to go into Details-And it was before my Addiction ( to Orchids) I live in a Condo with North and East Facing Windows-and you are right-it is at Times -especially this Time of Year-dark in here. But Spring and Summers are good-we got big Windows 8'x6' and i try to provide enough Light and what ever else my Orchids need and sofar so good.
And you know-if everybody lived at the South Side-you would have no Neighbores acrosse the Street

Congratulations on the flowering. I can't grow this plant and I admire it so much. I guess it is too warm here. I even tried the warmer growing Amesiella Phillippinensis with no success. So, I just enjoy the photos of others. Thanks for posting.
