I 1st flowered this from a seedling 2 years ago, this is the 2nd flowering. The flower & spur are twice the size from the 1st flowering.

Beautiful. Good growing. I just acquired one of these and am hoping it'll bloom for me . Got two plants in same pot actually. Second plant was attached to first , not as a basal keiki but right up the stalk

Flowering size, purely a guess but I would think the plant is a minimum of 10 years old. I bought it 4 years ago.
For me its not the fastest grower & I believe its not all that fast anyway. Best conditions may see it do better.
I have Ang. eburneum growing along side it & it produces growth rapidly. I took a keiki off my big plant about 1/3rd the size of the sesquipedale & its now 3 times the size of the sesquip' in 3 years.

Thanks. Sadly, this is what I anticipated. I had heard these took forever to grow large enough to bloom. I need to stop buying cute little seedlings. I certainly enjoy seeing the pictures others post!

Sorry for the bad news. I just went down to check the pot size to answer a question about it.
The pot size is 200mm ( 8 inch), the flowers measures 190mm across the lower sepals.
