eurychone rothschildianum
1st blooming for this plant. It's still very small. I got it as a seedling a year and a half ago, and did not expect it to bloom for another year or 2. I was told by an ang. lover that the flowers weren't anything spectacular, but I love them!

Thanks, both of you. This is a very nice plant, even when it's not in bloom.

Neat flower, is it fragrant? How do you grow it?

Dave, I have it in my terrarium, in front of a s.w. facing window. It is potted in a clay pot, in a mixture of styrofoam pellets, leca and chopped up sphagnum. I provide shade on sunny days, except for winters. It seems to need quite a bit of light, ventilation and humidity (did didn't like to be mounted). I keep all the angs. in that terrarium cooler and dryer in late fall and winter. All of them seem to be salt sensitive, so I use melted snow or rainwater. See you at the meeting in September.
