This is the travel companion to my Aerangis.
This has grown to be one of my favorites
I'm not sure if many others have this one.
It has a nice lightly fragrant spicy scent and I love it's small size. It's in a 4 inch basket.
It stayed in bloom for quite a few weeks.
I dissected one of the flowers once it dried up and found the little sac at the end of the bloom to contain sweet nectar
A sure lure for any insect that maybe in the vicinity
It's a great little plant .. It is in very porous medium so I have to water it just about everyday depending on how dry the air is .. it's all worth it
Dot: Couple questions - amount of light. Is this a high light guy? Also will I need to keep it in my orchidarium for humidity? It looks like blossoms are laying right on top of the mix.
It likes it shady .. I keep it along side my Phals.
It likes to be well drained but doesn't like to become dried out - I keep it moist!
I have read where it's can be grown along side Aerangis.
It likes a drier winter.
The flowers do lie against the medium, were suspended when in bud and and did touch the medium when in bloom. I was careful watering them and was able to avoid getting the flowers wet.
The leaves are phal-like but stiffer.
It's a great little addition
