Mine is potted in medium bark with a bit of leca very loose. I keep it my terrarium where humidity rarely goes under 60%. I only water when dry and that's when I soak till the roots go very green. This can be up to 2 weeks, although I also sometimes just soak the bare roots without wetting the medium. This is a bit of a pain...
When I do soak I then leave it out the terrarium for a few hours to make sure I don't rot any bits as I lost one once from this.

right, treat the roots gently...they tend to sulk and wont bloom for a season
I agree with constant humidity...this is native to Madagascar and the area has only two seasons...the dry spell and the monsoon rains...
it floods for two months straight...
but even in the no rain summers they have morning dew to moisten the roots and it is very humid all day

Oh I just got one of those near blooming size from Oak Hill Gardens! Thanks for the growing tips everyone.  I can't wait till mine blooms like yours. Such a pretty white flower
