Orchids in general take a long time from flower spiking to actual flowering. I just got this same one so I really can't answer specifically for this one. I hope someone else might ba able to as I am very curious myself.

Angraecums grow pretty slowly, seems to take them a couple of months from "ooooh! Spike!!!! Exciting!!!!" to "yay, flowers!".

Temperature and light probably play a role, too. My house is cool during the winter and everything but the Vanda Coerulescens and dends. take forever to bloom but the blooms last a long time. In the summer, things go much faster. I have two didieri whose buds have done nothing since last fall but are now, very slowly, progressing. I can't predict a bloom date.

I'm not sure if my experience is because of a particular feature of Angraecum diderii or because of the conditions I provide my plants, but I have 3 of these plants and they tend to stay in bud for up to 4 or 5 months before one day the bud gets serious about becoming a flower. So far these guys tend to flower about once every 6 months when they are happy and between flowers they seem to be perpetually in bud. I tend to get excited when I see the bud, then nothing happens for a few months and one day it's 4 times larger that it was and within 2 weeks it's a big white flower with an enormous spur. Once the bud does start to grow it seems to go into bloom pretty quickly compared to other Angs or other orchids, if for no other reason than it doesn't make a big long spike with multiple flowers, it's just one flower held away from the body of the plant by a 2cm stem.

radiofreekirkwood is right! It takes a while mine took five months as well a grower i spoke to also said it can even be as long as 8 months. hopefully yours will be on the shorter end and bloom after 5 months.

i too had the experience of the buds sitting and sitting and sitting and sitting until one day it started growing very quickly! and boom a gorgeous flower

here is a link to my photo diary so you can see the process and know what to expect

My didieri had a nicely formed bud that unfortunately broke off during shipping. I bought it last year, and a few weeks after I received it, I noticed two new buds! However, they haven't changed at all, not one bit, and it's already been 5 months. I guess sometime in the next few months I can finally see flowers.
