I have what looks like an old fashion dome shaped display case but instead of having a full glass dome there is a little hole at the top and wanted to know if this would be OK for growing microcoelia exilis

It probably depends on the humidity - with daily misting, I'm sure it will be very happy in there.

It rambles around the place, so it can get fairly big, but just as a "ball-o-roots" - so not that huge, and you can just give it a little trim if it gets unwieldy!
The habitat description says "riverine forest", so I suspect bright light with no direct sun.

Probably wants a bit of a rest in the winter, but not so much that it dries out too much.

Do watch out for fungus in your closed dome - you may want to get a fan in there.
