Hi Cody - I've seen you around on a few forums online and you have a lot of enthusiasm that is exciting and refreshing, and I also know that you are quite young, which is the only reason I'm bothering to clarify. I think the point smweaver was trying to make (and I hope he will forgive me for speaking on his behalf/correct me if I am interpreting incorrectly) was not so much who that comment was directed to, but the way in which 'OCD' and 'crazy' were associated in your sentence. An understandable slip of the tongue. Nonetheless, someone with an actual diagnosis with OCD reading this forum may not appreciate being called crazy. With the stigma associated with mental health, I think one should be particularly vigilant about using some of these terms (e.g. retard, OCD, schizo) that have leaked into our day to day vocabulary. Does that sound reasonable?

Thanks so much Camille...it's a petty little thing but it's like a pebble in my shoe. While we're at it, the 'sticky' describing the genera in this section is spelled "Angrecoid" and it should be "Angraecoid".

I know these are all minor things but I'm also one of those people that once I notice a mistake it really stands out even more!

Relax guys...its a "typo" ...orchids have latin names and it is hard to spell it...I am sure it will be corrected.

Yes, it sounds very reasonable . I agree that sometimes I can get excited, which is when I am more prone to using words that to us younger people mean totally different things than it means to others. Like the term OCD, which many people use to describe a person bothered by small details or other things like that, which is definitely not what OCD means. Sigh, I am worried about the future of the English language.
