Default Podangis dactyloceras

My Podangis dactyloceras has exploded with blooms, at least doubling what it put out last year. I counted 39 flowers/buds on 5 spikes.

Here are some pictures

Gorgeous!
I have one, and just love it. I'm amazed by how many spikes such a tiny orchid can have, and also surprised by how long the delicate looking blooms lasted!
You'll see, when yours puts out some more growths it's going to look even more fantastic in bloom!

Truthfully I'm not quite sure what I'm doing with it and I was quite surprised to see a dozen spikes on it this spring. Mine is mounted and since I moved around a lot in the past year it spent time under my grow lights (where my phals get a purple tinge), on a cool dim windowsill over the winter, then on a bright windowsill, then back under lights... So not sure what it really liked out of all that. Now it's growing 2 new fans. I have no clue if it bloom off new fans only, or if the older ones will rebloom as well. Like I say, I'm clueless!

But the grower I got it from did tell me that they like somewhat cool nights in the winter, and that they must be totally dry by nightfall because they rot easily.

I have been trying to get one for months. Such a beautiful little plant! I lost mine to rot in the spring - it's a bit of an understatement to say that they rot easily!
