Very nice Roy! You have come ahead in leaps and bounds since I took you under my wing - ha-ha.

Oh, very nice! Congrats on the bloom!
I don't know when will mine bloom. It recently lost a chunk of its right arm and the tip of its left (I like thinking of its leaves as arms, like a starfish) due to rot. I think I'm going to slowly acclimate it to higher light.

I have one large mounted Angraecum leonis - it has never bloomed, so I put it closer to the lights ...now it is growing a new leaf......I'm very frustrated with this particular Angraecum....I find it challenging and really hope someday SOMEDAY it will bloom for me ..

I know your problem well, I've also heard that flowering this plant isn't easy. Moving it to more light worked for me, hopefully for you. Can't hurt to try.

Congratulation Roy,I have one too and it was blooming before but it started to wilt so I reppoted and put it in a little shaded area, so I think I will give it more light too, thanks for a tip.Happy growing!

If I can make an observation, I've seen a number of Ang. leonis on the net and many of them show wilting, leaf wrinkles or soft growth. I've left this dry out regularly and being in a shallow pot, doesn't take long. When I water it I water heavily. There is no sign of wrinkle or wilt at all on the plant. Maybe something to think about. Too much water or staying too wet.

My angraecums all do very well in high light, plastic net pots and lava rock. I water when dry. My leonis didn't look very happy when I first received it but has since has been growing roots and leaves. I have yet to get blooms from any of my angraecums but the plants are quite small and a few years away (many years in the case of the sesquipedale) from blooming size if I compare mine to those I see in bloom. In the meantime, I love seeing pictures of them in bloom for they are so beautiful!
