Talking Aerangis punctata

I got this little beauty in a shipment last week from a friend in Washington. I couldn't believe how small it was when I opened it wrapping. I held a penny up in front of the plant as a size indication and the whole plant was hidden behind. At first I thought that part of the plant was damaged during shipping and had fallen off in the package, but then noticed that the plants were packed too good to be damaged. All of the plants that I had looked at online looked a whole lot bigger. I expected something about the size of a schoenorchis fragrans, but this plant is a lot smaller. I still love the plant and am happy that this is the biggest the plant will get becasue of limited space. This is the shocker. This little plant is almost 2 years old. The seller told me that it should bloom this year, but if not definately next year. I cannot wait to see how small the blooms are. Here are some pictures of my little plant.

It certainly looks very healthy. This is a small species, ideal for limited spaces. My experience with this one is that it can take its sweet time to acclimatize. Mine eventually bloomed itself to death. I should have cut the flowers off when that heat wave started. It proved too much for that little thing. Please post a picture when it blooms.

Very cute and not the easiest to find these days.

PS - this is an angraecoid...I'm sure a mod will move this to our shiny new angraecoid forum soon.

That is tiny! Very cool. I'm moving this to the appropriate forum.

Chris- If you don't mind me asking, where did you get this one? I've been looking for one of these for years

I'm sorry. This was the last plant that the seller had. She told me that they are really good sellers when she can keep them in stock.
Again sorry.

Let me check a few of my contacts and I'll get back to you. I believe that I will be able to find you one at a reasonable price.
