Thanks for all the comments, guys! Spikes and leaf span are around 7-8", but the roots hang down a good 10" from the mount. There are actually two or three crowns on the same mount...I'm still wondering what to do about that eventually down the road.

I always worry about damaging a mounted plant by re-mounting it. What I do is to place a new (bigger) mount adjacent to the old one (nearest to new 'crowns' or roots growth). Lay a sphagnum path for new roots, growths to follow. Voila!

Thanks for the advice! I will likely do this once the flowers are spent. PS I was sifting through old posts and noticed that you have success with Aer. brachycarpa...any tips? I just got a couple of them from Botanica...really nice healthy plants but I'm curious about the light levels they enjoy, as well as any seasonal variation.
