Its grown along side Cattleyas if that gives you a sense of light. There are some C. cernuas on either side, and C. nobilors too. I could only guess the foot candles in there would be 7500+. Temperatures now range from 75*F on a nice sunny day to 55*F on particularly cold winter nights. The watering, was done kind heavy because of the spikes but still let it dry to a lesser degree than normal.
As far as tags, I think one is an D for the species (or cross) one for the company it came from, and a red to flag that it isnt for sale. It is not how things are normally labeled at the nursery.
