Talking Angraecum Crestwood

Here is my Angcm. Crestwood, which is blooming 1st time. The color of the flower has a hint of green. I like it a lot.

I am not sure if the green stays. I have had it for 2 years. The plant size got double, but it was not showing any sign of blooming. I then lowered the HID light by a foot in September.

TA DA..... Coincident

Very cool flowers! The leaves look like a pretty dark green, and since you mentioned you lessened the lighting, I'm assuming it does not need strong lighting? It's obviously happy whatever you are doing! Mind if I ask what the orchid to the right of it is?

That is Angcm. Lemforde White Beauty ( magdelena x sesquipedale ). I have had it for 11 years and bloomed 3 times last year.

You are welcome. I must admit that this is one of very few orchids I have not killed or given up for last 11 years. I just donated Angcm. sesquipedale to my society for its Holiday auction. They tend to get BIGGER

Awesome blooms, they look like they are made out of wax! Is that just a visual effect due to lighting in the photo, or are they really waxy textured?
I wouldn't be surprised if increasing the light was responsible for the blooms. Insufficient light is the likely culprit when a plant refuses to bloom!
