angraecum sesquipedale spike broken
Help! I have an angraecum sesquipedale which I have had for 3 years. It just bloomed for the first time, one spike with an open bloom and one bud. Well, I had 3 granddaughters over for Thanksgiving dinner, and somehow the spike sustained some mechanical damage. Pinched place, turning yellow/brown, and the bloom is now dying. My question-is there any way to save the bud?
I'm used to getting phals to rebloom by cutting the spike, but this plant has no nodes. What do I do?
Thanks!
