Your wish is my command!

It's actually potted in a smaller plastic square pot inside the clay pot. I just moved it back into the tank, cause the spike now actually fits. It seemed to do okay at ambient 30% humidity, although it did blast a spike and looks like it wants to blast another.

I'd say this spike fully extended is just a little over 2 feet long! Strange - it has another spike that's only 6" long and the first time it bloomed, the spike was only 8" long.

That's a pretty interesting plant, Calvin. I really like that wiry spike and the crazy looking bloom that appears to dangle in midair. I've read that aeranthes species like to be grown in very low light (something like what paphiopedilums require?). I also like the description you provided of the scent. Might have to go see if I can find one of these guys now. Thanks for posting the picture of your plant.

Nice healthy plant there. Producing nice growths from base yeah the flower stems and long and wiry. I hope you do not mind me adding a pic of my grandiflora as well. Just a flower close up pic.

Thanks for the picture of the whole plant. I had no idea how cool it was, even though I already loved the flower! I need to put this on my wish list!

Too cool, looks like an alien.
