Default aerangis kirkii

I cannot take full credit for bringing it into bloom since I bought it when it was spiking already, but I think the previous owner damaged the spike when it was developing so it only produced two flowers. Nonetheless, I hope I can bring it into bloom again soon. It is extremely fragrant--it smells like those so-called unscented handcreams. The flower spans a little over 1", tall 1.5", and the spur is 2.5".

That is a gorgeous flower. What temps and light are you giving it? I have become interested in them and want to learn more about caring for them. I just purchased Aergngis hayloids (Pumilo). It's a cute LITTLE plant and I sure hope it will survive for me.

marilyn, im honestly taking a leap of faith myself too. this is my very first aerangis. i cannot take credit for bringing this baby into spike, but so far, mind grows in low light, and relatively intermediate temps so far. i pretty much water the mounts once it dries in about a day.

Wow, how cool! Thanks for sharing these pictures. It is really beautiful. I just picked up an Aerangis citrata yesterday at the CFOS orchid auction. I had no clue about them, but it looked really special. Thanks for giving me an idea about it. Good growing!
