Beautiful, i saw some of these at R.F. Orchids last friday and quickly liked it a lot. Other than mounting it on trees, which I am sadly out of, how else can it be grown. Can it be left just hanging like a vanda?

This one was delivered in a traditional small plastic slat type (open) basket with no media and a wire hanger so I guess they are commonly grown this way. My fear would be that the wire would eventually cut the leaves as the plant grows. It would probably grow great on a tall totem made of or wrapped with some sort of natural material.

I have 5 tall palms in my yard. I've always thought they looked a bit boring so I decided to jazz this one up with the Trich. Hopefully she'll be happy rambling up and around the tree trunk and won't get damaged by a few chilly winter nights.
