Default Aerangis punctata

First bloom seedling obtained from Troy Meyers several years back. It languished until it went into one of the wardian cases with 82+% humidity.

That is just soooo lovely!

And great photos too!

What kind of wardian case do you have that's working so well?

I have found this to be a constant for nearly all Angraecoids - total and constant high humidity. Many of them grow near running water.

Oh so lovely. It is just beautiful. Love the shading on the sepals. Ross also has some beauties!

Darin,

That is stunning! If you haven't already entered the calendar contest, you should consider entering one of these photos.

This guy grows on one of the walls of my intermediate wardian case in which I mainly grow my warmer growing masdevallias. The case is made up of the following...

an exo-terra terrarium that I have put a plexiglass top on (rather than the screen it comes with). I have small fan suspended from the plexiglass to provide air movement. Additionally I have set up an ultrasonic humidifier modified with 1 1/2" pvc piping so that it pipes the "Smoke" (As my son calls it) into the tank 3 times per day for fifteen minute cycles. This amount of smoke time makes all the plants drip with moisture. I plan to set another up this winter and will add some sort of refrigeration unit to it to keep the cooler growing masdies.
