Default Angraecum sesquipedale “Hsinying” x self

First Darwin orchid bloom in my care. Got this as a mature plant from Etsy (let’s talk plants) in May 2022. It alternately grew leaves and lost leaves, looking very marginal, until I potted it up semi hydro in the fall of 22. It immediately started growing roots and has been steadily growing since. Pleased that it has seen fit to bloom!

It has a strong perfumed scent at night- pleasant to my tastes. My husband says it has undertones of a chemical cleaner scent for him. The flower has heavy substance, not at all delicate.

Beautiful! I always fear that the Angraecums will be bred for an altered appearance and lose their fragrance. I think their appearance is perfect as is.

I love this guy. I bought 4 from Hawaii, about 2 years ago, also mature. Mine all bloomed over Christmas and into Valentines Day. This particular cultivar is phenomenal.. I'm happy to see how the "cousin", is doing lol.
