Default Dendrophylax funalis in bloom

First blooming in my care of my Dendrophylax funalis.
And the first of all my Dendrophylax orchids to bloom!

Still has one more bud to open but I couldn’t resist taking some pics now.

Wow thats amazing! No media at all, not even a mount? How do you possibly keep it hydrated?? It would die in a heartbeat at my place.

This one stays in a small climate controlled greenhouse I have where I’m able to keep the humidity high, though I do still spray this one twice a day!
All my other Dendrophylax are mounted and reside in a little rimless aquarium turned paludarium where I can keep the humidity around 80% most of the time, but the roots on this guy were just too long for that small setup.

Nice! I don't think any Dendophylax would be happy in a pot, they need the roots out in the air and light to photosynthesize since they're leafless.

To me that's the main attractive trait for this one.
