Angraecum elephantinum dropping leaves

I know occasionally dropping leaves is normal, but this seemed different. It dropped two leaves within a month, which concerned me because thats the number of leaves it grows in a year. Plus it doesn't have that many leaves in the first place. And the leaves browned at the base before falling off while still largely green.

Any ideas why it might've done this? Rot perhaps? I found no signs of crown rot.

Also it looks a bit rough because my cat chewed on it last year.
