I too think they're a little more tolerant of repotting than they have a reputation for being. I agree with SFLguy that, like the bifoliate cattleyas (which definitely DO deserve their reputation for being troublesome if repotted at the wrong time), you're probably much better off waiting to see new root growth initiated before a plant gets repotted.

Havvocity, my experience with Angraecum superbum is similar to yours. This species (along with its "cousins," eburneum and longicalcar) is pretty forgiving when it comes to repotting.
