Howdy everyone! Just thought I'd post a sweet miniature Angraecum I've just acquired for my terrarium- Angraecum oblongifolium. Information on this plant in cultivation seems to be limited online, but I was able to find enough to be comfortable trying to grow it myself.
Angraecum oblongifolium is a miniature, pendant Angraecum species found in South-Eastern Madagascars humid forests. I personally fell in love with it due to its growth habit, the little "succulent" compact leaves and pronounced stem are a joy. Of course, it helps that the flowers are stunning too; non-resupinate and looking almost like papier mâché. Mine was described as "a large seedling", so hopefully I'm not too far off from seeing the flowers myself.
Despite references to it been cool growing, I have seen multiple instances of people online growing it intermediate-warm. I asked the vendor I got my plant from if my terrarium would suit it well, 80F-70F @ ~80% Humidity, and was told it would be ideal. I will be watering it with tap water and fertilizing weekly with balanced fertilizer. As it grows I'll be happy to provide updates in this thread. Hope y'all enjoy
