Best easy angraecoids for fragrance?

It sounds like I really do need to explore Angraecum leonis and Angraecum magdalenae based on what you all are saying. There seems to be so many tempting and interesting angraecoids around! Finding exactly the ones I want for sale might be the tricky bit.

I wanted to give the leonis another shot, I’m quite obsessed with the way those leaves look, so I picked up one from Hausermann a few months ago. Not disappointed at all. Three fans, another pup started in June, and it has barreled through the repot with zero issues. I highly recommend getting one from them if anyone is looking

Angraecum Lemforde White beauty is my all time favorite. It smells better than magdalanae imo and magdalanae is difficult for many because it will fall apart in heat. I have bloomed mine under normal house temperatures, but when I had it in my 80 is degree grow space, it started dropping leaves. Luckiky I had been warned about this by Ron McHatton, so I knew what was going on immediately. Jumellea comoroensis smells like violets in the morning and can bloom every 3 months under lights. Its very easy to grow. I've got sesquipedale vwr angustifolium (small version) and I agree that it smells weird. Angraecum scottianum bloomed multiple times under shop lights and smells kind of minty if I recall. Its not great, but not bad either. Sobennikoffia robusta (big plants) and aerwngis fastuosa both sm3ll like tuberose but sweeter. They are very nice. I was not a huge fan of aerangis biloba, but it was very easy and again, blooms under phal light. Eurychone rothschildiana does smell like cinnamon, but there is a hint of plastic in there, so its also kind of weird to me. All but the big ones and magdalanae bloomed under t12 four foot shop lights, but they bloom well under cattleya light. Magdalanaecan apparently take full sun, and is listed as needing high light, but mine doesn't. Rothschildiana needs to be watered just before the mix dries or it will abort flowers. Thwts all I can think of at the moment. Angraecum compactum is supposed to be nicely fragrant but I haven't b.oomed mine yet or fastuosa though I think that could take shop lights. Mine has started spikes multiple times under a rack with one led bar and one shop light, so it gets more than shop lights put out, but it doesn't seem to need standard cattleya light either.

Magdalenae can handle 80F no problem, mine gets that half the year with no problems. 85F has been the highest it has handled with no ill effects so although easy to blame temps I highly doubt that will have been the reason for it's decline. High night time temps are more likely if anything. I personally suspect the roots are more susceptible to fungal issues than other orchids but otherwise it is slow but fairly straightforward. I've never burnt the leaves - it has handled everything I have tried so it can and does seem to like quite a lot of light. I'd say Cattleya equivalent.

I have also been advised to only repot every 3 years and repotting can be a reason for it to die which is nonsense as a repot will never kill an orchid unless one has to damage every single root - then a weakness to fungal issues and any broken roots become infected and it can lead to the death of the orchid. The answer is not to not repot as a substrate that has gone bad will cause even more issue, the answer should be to repot as carefully as possible and ideally never let an orchid become so rootbound that repotting can only be done by damaging roots. The roots are very slow growing so if you damage them with a Magdalenae it does seem to take years for them to regrow.

Another thing to love about Angraecum sesquipedale is how long the flowers last and the scent continues!
