Amesiella (Angraecum) monticola in bloom!

I purchased it from Andy's Orchids...I am not sure what he uses for his mounts...but it looks to be a piece of wood...sorry I can't be any more informative! It did have spag around the roots...it started looking yucky so I cut it away and used coco husk fiber around the roots instead....I water it daily, but the leaves are still showing some signs of dehydration...I am not sure what I should do for it...maybe but on some fresh sphag moss to replace the yucky stuff I took away...the old probably got yucky because I have been bad at leaving them in the water daily for 30 minutes at a time....

I grow mine in sphagnum, and I think it need to be constant moist when it is in spike. I am looking at my little fellow every day now - waiting for buds and flowers

Well I am sad to say that this one is barely hanging in there. I'm not sure what went wrong. I watered it daily...probably gave it to much love...lol. I have another one that was given to me...it's putting out two new roots but hasn't bloomed for me....it's the stubborn one Ross had..lol. It's older roots aren't looking so good so I am praying for the two new roots to take over....I just don't get what I am doing wrong. I have it in high humidity and intermediate temps and water it daily, sometimes every other day by dunking it in water for a few minutes.

I just bought my first one this year. Do you cut the spikes after blooming, or leave them on?

On mine, the spikes always die back after blooming so I cut them.

I let the spikes die back naturally and then cut them off.
