I also have a Haraella odorata in my 55 gallon tank. This tank gets misted a few times daily and the fan come on and off all day except during midday (which in my mind should be the hottest part of the day). This plant is doing very well mounted on a stick.
Its going to flower and is growing roots like crazy.

I am wondering whether Masds, Dracula, Chiloschista usneoides will do well in a terrarium.
I have a Dyakia hendersoniana, Aerangis citrate too. Wanted to know whether these will do well.

The Draculas and Masdevalias probably would, but you would have to keep the vivarium cool. These orchids like it shady, humid, moist, and cool. I wouldnt let the temps go above 75. At most!!!
I dont know about the others. I look them up.

Dyakia hendersoniana requires medium lighting, warm conditions. If you were to mount it, Im sure it could take to humid and wet conditions. I suppose this would be a good candidate to put in a terrarium.

Chiloschista usneoides seems to do well in terrarium too. But it needs to be cycled. It needs a good wet season, dry season cycle. In the winter rest period it need to be watered every two to three days, apparently its leaves will fall and growth stops. So if you are gonna put in a terrarium with other plants, make sure its conditions can be met without harming the other plants. Or you can move it to another environment to suit its winter needs. Also, the plant is epiphytic of the Vanda alliance needing bright light and humid warm conditions. The plant normally has few to no leaves, sprouting leaves when the dry season is over along with spikes. The plant should be watered heavily at this time, but you should keep ventilation high as well since all those mangaled roots look like they tend to retain water alot. This plant should not be kept wet. I wish orchids would make up thier minds about water :roll: .
Hope this helps you out. For me, this plant is too complicated to place in a group terrarium. Maybe its own wardian case??

Aerangis citrate seems to be a warm loving species. So I doubt you could keep it with Masdies or Draculas. Other than that, I can't help you out. Maybe someone who know more about this genus.

Perspective is skewed and it isn't the best photo. Each flower is about 1cm natural spread.

Not a tiny plant, but it seems to fit well in my 15-20G tanks. Spike is about 18" high and touching the top glass.

Grows pretty well pretty much anywhere, forming huge specimen plants in the greenhouse.

I am planning to put the warm loving plants in the warm terrarium. I cannot put the Masd and Drac in it. After somtime I will built a Cool Terrarium and get some Cool loving plants. Thanks a lot for your help. In my warm terrarium I am planning to have Dykia, Aerangis, Sedira, Chiloschista, Dend Unicum, Trichopilia tortilis, and other non-orchids. Please let me know of your thoughts.
