Thumbs up New Orchidarium set up

It finally arrived two boxes and instructions. No tools required . Cleaned all with cleaner to prevent static then preceeded to put it together. It was so easy everything went into place without a hitch. I have not hung any of my catts as yet I will do that tomorrow and over the weekend. The enclosure has j brackets for hanging mounts all around the top which is nice. Once the catts are mounted there will be room for the overflow The humidity was around 30 when it was set up and is now 68% with a temp of 70 degrees. The fan is very quiet. It will take a few days to learn how to raise and lower temps and humidity but that's the fun I wish it was larger . You could hang me with new rope and I would not be satified I have some so here they are.

Hope you all enjoy the

Looks great Sheridan! No tools required is even better! What size is it? Where did you get yours from? I purchased one from orchidarium.com but mine is a tad bit larger and required two people to put it together, well at least it was easier with two people...lol. You will love the results you see in your 'chids from growing in one of these! Congratulations!

Becca Hi I got my from Orchidarium.com as well. I wanted the Grand Cayman but it was a bit to much $$ and a bit to large for my little cabin. The Maui is 21 deep x 24.5 long and 32.5 high. It was a cinch to put together.

I like the size of that....I need to replace my exo-terra with something just a tad bit larger...lol....the wanting to upgrade will never stop! I was bad and purchased the Grand Cayman on my evil credit card and I have had it since last June or July. I love it! I added a MistKing System to it since the area is to large for the two airstones they provided to really keep the humidity around 70% like I wanted....I also bought the ultrasonic fogger and that wasn't much help either....all of the water would splash out of the container and I had a hard time finding a container that was wide enough to catch the splashes for me to use it continuously thought the day. I also have a problem with my sliding doors fitting properly..a.k.a...it my orchidarium doesn't completely seal so that is another reason why I had issues with my humidity...but all is fixed now! Keep us posted on the progress you see! I know you will just love it...and it seems like a nice convenient size too!

Thanks Becca It is a nice size although some of my orchids won't fit cause they are to tall with flowers. The orchids that don't fit inside are very close by and will benefit from the light. At some point I will get the largest one but right now this is fine. I will keep you all posted on any orchid progress.....

I know exactly how you feel. . .fun, fun, FUN!

It's a blast to know that you can grow your orchids even better now that you've got the orchidarium! So many orchids really have to have a controlled environment to get their best growth! AND BLOOMS!!

May I suggest, mini orchids?

P.S. I got twelve new orchids in the mail today. . .oh, I am soooo bad.
