My paludarium is half finished. I had some issues with the filtering, so I had to jettison the first rock work, but it will be used for another project. (I never throw anything away)

A few pictures:

Side view:

I made the "planter" a hang on the back so that I could remove it for replanting or other reasons. Cleaning the tank and so on. It has a large hook that hangs over the back of the tank. With out the hook actually holding on to the bank, it floats. I had to put a lot of drainage material in the "cups" The orchids are mainly stick mounted, and the plants will be watered by mist. The tank has a glass hood. I would like to build up the sides with some acrylic so that the top is higher.

Plants from left to right: Grosourdia appendiculata, bulbophylum catenulatum, a sleaganella, Dendrobium (cadetia) talorii, and Jihlo's pink girl phal mounted. I don't know how big she is going to get. There are more plants but not in this basket.

This is a fun project.

I am going to say No to that for now. I really think of this as half finished. I have totally new section to make. The other side of the tank is bare rocks and the filter output as in keeping with little waterfall in stream concept.

I see my work as "art" in a way, and I would like to let it grow organically.
