So any general consensus on whether this is a predatory, beneficial mite, or a two-spotted spider mite? They are definitely more than 0.5 mm and less than 1mm long.

If it was the two-spotted spider mite, and I have been seeing them on the Schoenorchis leaves for maybe two weeks now, would I be seeing some damage?

Nope, not 2 spotted mite. They very clearly have 2 spots... Tomorrow I'll see if any of my colleagues have an idea of what they are.

Well, since I was placing an order with Andy's I sent him a picture and asked about the mites. Andy says he has never seen these mites before, but he said that very active mites tend to be the predatory ones so I should not worry too much about it. I think until I start seeing some damage to the plants, I will pretty much let them do their thing.

Hi all! Found this thread very educational, I was wondering if anybody was able to ID the mites? And I hope the plants in the pictures are in good health and vigor. Thanks!
