Warm terrarium. How? Female
Default Warm terrarium. How?

Hi!
I was thinking about buying Phalenopsis violacea (Bellina), but it required hot conditions. I have a terrarium (exo-terra) and the temperature in it does not climb above 24C (during the day, lower at night). It's too cold for the plant. Does anyone tried to grow this Phalenopsis in a terrarium? And how I can increase the temperature in a terrarium? I was thinking about heat lamp (for reptiles)...
Thanks for all ideas!

A heat lamp which produces heat without light is what you want. The ceramic ones are perfect.

... or an under-tank reptile heater, which - if there's water collecting on the bottom - will also increase the humidity.
